ABOUT US

The Rutherford pays tribute to William Rutherford Mead, partner at McKim, Mead & White, a gilded architectural firm tasked with the design of Penn Station.

The Rutherford celebrates New York's architectural legacy left by McKim, Mead & White and the vibrant energy of the city that surrounds it. Located directly across from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station, The Rutherford blends timeless elegance with William’s early 20th-century grandeur.

Our Group

Host Restaurants is a hospitality group rooted in storytelling, inspired by our Irish heritage and the lyrical spirit of W.B. Yeats. Each of our venues is a reflection of place and poetry, designed to bring people together through unforgettable food, cocktails, and atmosphere.

From the cosy charm of Jackdaw in the East Village, to the sunlit all-day vibes of Café Maud, the lively Soho elegance of Odd Sister, and the refined ease of Dear Maud—our spaces span neighbourhoods but share the same heart.

At Host, we believe hospitality is a craft, and every moment shared at our tables is a story worth telling.
